Beloved Chinese singer Liu Huan, who performed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony, has died in Shanghai aged 63.
Chinese musician Liu Huan, whose powerful voice and wide-ranging work made him one of China's best-known singers, died in Shanghai on Sept 25.
Chinese singer and music educator Liu Huan, one of China's most recognised voices, died in Shanghai on 25 September at age 63.
Liu performed You And Me with Sarah Brightman at the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony and taught at a Beijing university for over 30 years.
Liu had requested simple funeral arrangements, and his university described his death as a major loss to China's music community.
