A football hit to the face led to a five-year-old girl's stage four cancer diagnosis, and she has now been given the all-clear.
Aaron's daughter, Harper, was five years old when she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
Harper, aged five, was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma after a lump appeared on her neck hours after being hit by a football at school.
She endured 80 days of chemotherapy, stem cell therapy, radiotherapy and six months of immunotherapy, and was twice placed in critical care.
Harper was given the all-clear in late August and is heading to Disney World, but her family faces three-monthly scans as there is a 40 to 50 per cent chance of relapse in the first two years.
Doctors note the ball injury did not cause the cancer, but parents should know that unexplained lumps in children, even after minor injuries, are worth getting checked promptly.
