G'day and welcome to Cuppa. These terms set out the rules for using our app. By using Cuppa, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Cuppa is operated by Sideprojects Unit Trust (ABN 37 511 050 834).

1. What Cuppa Is

Cuppa is a free news aggregation and community discussion service. We bring together news stories from third-party publishers, along with weather, fuel prices, games, recipes and community features, all in one place.

We don't charge for access. There are no subscriptions, paywalls, or premium tiers. The service is provided free of charge.

2. News Content and Third-Party Sources

The news articles you see in Cuppa come from third-party news providers. We don't write the news ourselves. Each article links back to the original source so you can read the full story on the publisher's website.

We do our best to show accurate, up-to-date news, but we can't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of content from third-party sources. The views expressed in news articles belong to their respective publishers, not to Cuppa.

3. Your Account

You can browse Cuppa without creating an account. If you want to post comments, save articles, or sync your preferences across devices, you'll need to sign in.

To create an account, you must be at least 18 years old. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity that happens under your account.

4. Your Comments and Content

When you post comments or replies on Cuppa, you keep ownership of what you write, but you give us permission to display it within the app.

Please keep things respectful. When posting, you agree not to:

• Post anything abusive, threatening, defamatory, or hateful
• Spam or post repetitive content
• Impersonate other people
• Post anything illegal or that infringes someone else's rights
• Use automated tools to scrape data or post content

We can remove any content and suspend or close any account that breaks these rules, at our discretion.

5. Intellectual Property

The Cuppa name, logo, design, and original features are owned by Sideprojects Unit Trust. You can't copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our branding or proprietary content without our written permission.

News articles displayed in the app remain the intellectual property of their respective publishers. We link to and summarise content under fair dealing principles for news reporting and commentary.

6. No Guarantees

Cuppa is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we can't promise that:

• The service will be available 24/7 without interruption
• All content will be accurate, complete, or current
• The app will be free of bugs or errors

We may need to take the app offline for maintenance or updates from time to time.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, Sideprojects Unit Trust and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, Cuppa
• Any content obtained from the service, including third-party news and AI-generated content
• Unauthorised access to your data or account
• Any errors or omissions in content displayed in the app

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be limited or excluded.

8. Third-Party Services

Cuppa uses third-party services to provide features like news aggregation, weather forecasts, fuel prices, and AI-generated content. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we're not responsible for their availability or conduct.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know through the app. Your continued use of Cuppa after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
