Torrential rain since Thursday turned large parts of Bangkok into floodwaters, prompting authorities to declare all 50 city districts a disaster area.
More than 30 centimetres of rain fell in many Bangkok areas, over 4,200 people moved into emergency shelters, and 84,000 people across 21 provinces were affected.
Rain is forecast to continue through Sunday, but the Bangkok governor says flooding should ease once it stops as crews work to drain the city.
If you are travelling to Bangkok or Thailand this weekend, expect road closures, suspended bus services, possible flight delays, and many businesses closed.
