Welsh rally driver Elfyn Evans won his first WRC world title after rival Oliver Solberg crashed just metres from the finish line in Sardinia.

Elfyn Evans became WRC world champion for the first time after five-time runner-up heartbreak, thanks to a dramatic last-stage crash by Oliver Solberg.
Solberg crashed with less than 100 metres to go on the final stage, finishing five points behind Evans in the overall standings.
Evans, 37, is only the third British man to win the WRC title, following Colin McRae in 1995 and Richard Burns in 2001.
