Japanese voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda, known for Jujutsu Kaisen, took TikTok to court claiming an anonymous account used an AI clone of his voice.
The account had over 200,000 subscribers and is estimated to have earned upwards of 500,000 yen a month narrating occult and conspiracy content.
The Tokyo District Court verdict, believed to be Japan's first case defending an individual's vocal identity against AI copies, is due on Wednesday.
