‘It’s been a sin bin all year’: The Ponga shot on Radley that left Roosters furious
Kalyn Ponga avoided a sin bin for a high shot on Victor Radley in the NRL grand final, and the Roosters are furious it wasn't called.
The brave Knights fought until the bitter end, but the grand final could have been over much earlier had Kalyn Ponga been marched for a high shot on Victor Radley.
Kalyn Ponga hit Victor Radley in the head with his shoulder in the 25th minute of the NRL grand final but was only penalised, not sin-binned.
Roosters captain James Tedesco told referee Adam Gee it should have been a sin bin, saying the same call had been made all season for that tackle.
Ponga stayed on and later scored a 95-metre try, though the Knights ultimately lost the grand final in the dying minutes anyway.
