A federal judge has ordered US President Donald Trump to restore White House access for journalists from CNN, MS NOW and Politico, saying his ban was likely unconstitutional.
US District Judge Tim Kelly blocked Donald Trump's ban on three media outlets from the White House, saying it likely violated First Amendment free press protections.
The judge rejected the White House's national security justification, noting Trump himself had said the ban was due to the outlets' alleged negativity and lack of truthfulness.
The administration must immediately return the outlets' press passes, with the ban blocked for 14 days while the legal challenge continues in federal court.
