US fans with Ed Sheeran tickets are 'torn' by Macklemore controversy
Ed Sheeran's US tour is in turmoil after Macklemore was dropped as support act over a pro-Palestinian protest, with all other opening acts quitting in solidarity.
With Sheeran's next gig due this weekend, some fans said they were in two minds about the show.
Rapper Macklemore was dropped from Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour after making a free Palestine protest on stage, and all remaining support acts then quit in solidarity.
Ticket prices for Sheeran's remaining US, Mexico and South America shows have dropped as boycott calls spread, and fans are demanding refunds saying it is no longer the show they paid for.
Sheeran said he was appalled by the Israel-Palestine conflict but refused to be drawn into politics, insisting he was not responsible for Macklemore's removal from the tour.
