The Dolphins have locked in boom back rower Kulikefu Finefeuiaki until 2029, but still face a big retention battle with several stars set to become free agents.
The Dolphins secured Kulikefu Finefeuiaki on a multi-year deal through to 2029 during their first NRL finals series.
The club still has 14 players off contract at season's end, including Herbie Farnworth and star fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, who is reportedly chasing $1.4 million a season.
Dolphins CEO Terry Reader says he is confident of keeping the group together, noting the salary cap is set to rise significantly from 2028.
