
Meet Marryam Chehelnabi: New relationship expert for Married at First Sight
Registered clinical psychotherapist Marryam Chehelnabi has been announced as the new Married at First Sight relationship expert, replacing the late Mel Schilling.
She's taking over from the late Mel Schilling.
Nine announced at its 2027 Upfront in Sydney that Marryam Chehelnabi will replace Mel Schilling as a relationship expert on Married at First Sight.
Marryam is a registered clinical psychotherapist with a Master of Science in Medicine from the University of Sydney and previously led Couples Therapy Australia on SBS.
Fans flooded Nine's announcement post with tributes to Mel Schilling, who died in March 2026 from cancer at just 54, saying Marryam had big shoes to fill.
