Kurtley Beale earns shock recall to Wallabies squad five years after last Test
Kurtley Beale, 37, has been recalled to the Wallabies squad for their spring UK tour, five years after his last Test appearance.
Veteran playmaker could add to 95 caps as he returns aged 37 while James Ramm and Kalani Thomas will also join Australia’s spring tour
Wallabies coach Les Kiss has recalled veteran Kurtley Beale, 37, to the squad for next month's spring tour of the UK.
Beale, who has 95 Test caps, last wore the gold jersey against Wales in Cardiff in 2021 and will primarily cover inside centre.
The recall signals Kiss may finally settle the Wallabies' long-troubled five-eighths position ahead of next year's Rugby World Cup in Australia.
The Wallabies play three Tests against England, Scotland and Wales next month, then the Nations Championship finals from 21 to 23 November.
