UK media regulator says concerns persist over X's handling of illegal content
UK regulator Ofcom says it is still worried about X's handling of illegal hate and terror content despite some improvements in response times.
Britain's media regulator Ofcom said on Wednesday it remained concerned about Elon Musk-owned X's handling of illegal hate and terrorism-related content despite improvements in response times, while disclosing new restrictions on the Grok AI chatbot.
Britain's media regulator Ofcom said it has ongoing concerns about X's effectiveness at removing illegal hate and terrorism content from the platform.
Ofcom opened its investigation in January after the Grok AI chatbot was found generating sexualised images, including deepfakes of real people and children.
Ofcom could issue a formal ruling if it finds X has failed its legal duties, and new restrictions on Grok are now in place for users in Britain.
