Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that his planned triumphal arch in Washington DC would serve as a military complex storing drones, ammunition and sniper facilities.
The National Park Service has already warned the arch could have adverse effects on historic properties, and Democratic Congress members have raised concerns about its location near Reagan airport.
The arch is one of several Trump construction projects facing legal challenges and criticism, with critics saying they are designed to promote his own legacy.
