The Netherlands pulls out of Eurovision 2027 due to Israel ‘sensitivities’
The Netherlands has pulled out of Eurovision 2027, citing divisions over Israel's participation, joining Ireland and several other countries in boycotting the contest.
Dutch withdrawal is the latest in a number of boycotts by countries unhappy about Israel’s inclusion.
Dutch public broadcaster NPO confirmed the Netherlands will not participate in Eurovision 2027 due to sensitivities around Israel's inclusion in the contest.
The Netherlands also boycotted the 2026 edition, and Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Slovenia and the Czech Republic have all pulled out of one or both recent contests.
Eurovision 2027 will still be broadcast on Dutch public channels, but the growing number of withdrawals is putting pressure on organisers over Israel's participation.
