Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed he was terrified about returning to Old Trafford less than four months after emergency brain surgery in May 2018.
Ferguson lost his voice after the haemorrhage and regained it through speech therapy, practising by naming birds, animals and rivers with a therapist.
Now 84, Ferguson says he is feeling quite good and remains a regular at Old Trafford, with his wife moved to tears by the fans warm welcome back.
Ferguson's recovery involved speech therapy exercises like naming birds, animals and rivers, which helped him regain his voice after the haemorrhage left him unable to speak.
