Russell Brand's trial has heard his police statements in which he insisted all his sexual encounters were consensual and blamed allegations on defamatory media reports.

Russell Brand's trial at Southwark Crown Court in London heard statements he gave to police across four interviews between November 2023 and July 2025.
Brand, 51, is accused of seven offences against six women spanning 10 years from 1999, and denies all charges, saying encounters were consensual and later unfavourably reframed.
Brand blamed the allegations on what he called a defamatory and fictitious documentary broadcast in September 2023 by Channel 4 alongside two national newspapers.
