Piers Morgan announced he will sue Earl Spencer over claims in his new Diana memoir that Morgan was responsible for publishing secret gym photographs of the princess.
Morgan says the photos were printed by the Sunday Mirror in November 1993, when he was working at the Sun and had no connection to the Mirror at all.
Spencer's book has already sparked a public dispute with Buckingham Palace over other claims, and Morgan's threatened lawsuit adds a fresh legal dimension to the controversy.
