Argentine president Javier Milei used his UN General Assembly speech to warn Argentina would act unilaterally in its long-running sovereignty dispute over the Falkland Islands.
Milei's government has already begun sanctions proceedings against more than 60 companies and individuals linked to the Sea Lion offshore oil project near the islands.
The UN does not recognise either British or Argentine sovereignty and has repeatedly called for peaceful bilateral negotiations to resolve the dispute.
