The spacecraft will need to fly sideways at 17,500 mph to stay in orbit, circling the planet six times before splashing down in the Pacific Ocean roughly 10 hours later.
A successful orbital flight would be a major step toward making Starship a reusable rocket capable of supporting NASA moon missions and eventually sending people to Mars.
