Taika Waititi directs Breast Cancer Foundation’s shower ad promoting breast checks
Taika Waititi directed a new Breast Cancer Foundation ad featuring a shirtless man doing a breast self-check in the shower, aiming to normalise the conversation.
A shirtless man rubbing his pectorals in the shower, directed by acclaimed Kiwi film-maker Taika Waititi, is the latest move by the Breast Cancer Foundation...
The Breast Cancer Foundation enlisted director Taika Waititi to make a shower ad encouraging people to check their breasts.
Waititi agreed without hesitation, saying breast cancer has affected people close to him including his mother and mother-in-law.
The ad will screen on TV and in cinemas, with the foundation hoping a light-hearted approach gets more people talking about breast checks.
The ad is a reminder to check your breasts regularly - if you are unsure how, your GP can walk you through what to look for.
