'Should not be eaten': Tip Top recalls Jelly Tip ice creams over bacteria

Tip Top Jelly Tip ice cream six-packs sold at Woolworths in New Zealand's North Island have been recalled over bacteria that can cause severe stomach illness.

New Zealand Food Safety said the ice cream may contain a bacterium that can cause diarrhoea.

Quick Sip: The recalled packs have a best-before date of September 30, 2028, and can be returned to Woolworths for a full refund or thrown out if return is not possible.

Check the best before date on those packs because the recalled batch runs through to late September 2028. Anyone who bought them from Woolworths in the North Island can take them back for a full refund.
