A Perth man appeared in court after video showed a toddler steering his Hilux through suburban streets while sitting unrestrained on his lap.
A 30-year-old man who allegedly let a toddler steer a car while sitting unrestrained on his lap through suburban streets in Perth's north has appeared in court on reckless driving charges.
Jake Douglas Smith, 30, faced Joondalup Magistrates Court on reckless driving charges after police say he let a toddler steer his Toyota Hilux in Alkimos.
Smith allegedly uploaded the video himself, captioning it 'three years old driving a Hilux what a legend', and the car mounted a curb and stopped on a front lawn.
Smith, who is on a conditional suspended imprisonment order, had his bail extended and is due back in court later this month.
