‘Painful’ reason Neal McDonough can’t watch his own hit show
Yellowstone actor Neal McDonough says watching himself on screen is too painful and traumatic, so he skips his own premieres rather than sit through his films.
Neal McDonough may be known as one of the most ruthless villains in the Yellowstone universe, but there’s one thing the actor himself has never done: watched the show.
Actor Neal McDonough revealed he has never watched himself in Yellowstone or any of his other work, calling it traumatic and painful.
McDonough, 60, says as a method actor he can recall every thought from a scene, making watching it back an overwhelming experience.
He attends premieres with his wife, slips out the exit before the film starts, and simply tells people he loved it at the after-party.
