Met investigates reports of letter detailing claims about Meghan's father
Scotland Yard is investigating claims that a letter containing serious allegations about Meghan's father Thomas Markle was passed to the Duchess back in 2018.
Scotland Yard opens an inquiry after the Duchess of Sussex said she was sent a letter containing "disturbing allegations".
The Metropolitan Police has opened an internal inquiry after Meghan said she received a letter in 2018 containing disturbing allegations about her father Thomas Markle.
The Sun reported that images of child sexual abuse allegedly belonging to Markle, 82, were found at his former home in the Philippines, which he strenuously denies.
Philippine authorities have secured Markle's computer for forensic examination, while UK police say they are not investigating Markle himself, only the letter's handling.
