Victorian caravan maker Essential Caravans has collapsed into administration, the third Australian caravan business to fail in just two months.
A major Australian caravan maker has collapsed into administration, the third such business to run into dire financial troubles in the space of just two months.
Essential Caravans, a Victorian manufacturer with more than 35 years of history, fell into administration on October 21.
The company employs more than 200 people and has built over 5000 caravans since 2015, with administrators appointed from PKF Melbourne.
It is the third Australian caravan business to collapse in two months, with rising costs and economic pressure cited as key factors across the industry.
If you have an order with Essential Caravans, administrators say they are reviewing all current builds and delivery schedules to minimise disruption to buyers.
