Jeffrey Archer, novelist and former Conservative MP, dies aged 86
British author and former Conservative MP Jeffrey Archer has died aged 86, just a day after appearing at a sold-out event in London.
Archer died peacefully at his home, his publisher said in a statement
Jeffrey Archer, best-selling novelist and former Conservative politician, died suddenly and peacefully at home on Monday aged 86.
His publisher Harper Collins said he died between writing sessions, just one day after a sold-out event celebrating his final novel Adam and Eve.
Archer had served as a Conservative MP and life peer, survived a four-year prison sentence for perjury, and sold millions of books including the iconic Kane and Abel.
