Opposition leader Angus Taylor is expected to unveil the Coalition's immigration policy today, with net migration cuts significantly deeper than Labor's plan.
Reports suggest the Coalition would initially drop net migration to around 100,000 in year one, rising to a figure between One Nation's 130,000 and Labor's 225,000 target.
The policy is designed to undercut One Nation's growing support, with international students and visa overstayers among those targeted for tighter restrictions.
