Israeli soldiers describe mass killings of Palestinian civilians : NPR
A new documentary by Israeli filmmakers features testimony from 24 Israeli soldiers describing the mechanics of airstrikes that have killed tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
NAZA is an acronym for nezek agavi, Hebrew for "collateral damage." It refers to the number of civilian casualties the Israeli military deems acceptable. The documentary is made by Israeli filmmakers.
A documentary called NAZA, made by Israeli filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, features anonymised testimony from 24 Israeli soldiers and intelligence personnel about Gaza airstrikes.
The film's title is an acronym for the Hebrew term for collateral damage, and it has been co-produced by The Guardian, with much of its reporting previously published in outlets including +972 Magazine.
The filmmakers have been denounced as traitors in Israel, and Prime Minister Netanyahu has threatened to revoke their citizenship over the film's release.
