Israel held commemorations on Wednesday marking three years since Hamas militants killed 1,221 people and took 251 hostages on October 7, 2023.
Events were held at Kibbutz Kfar Aza and the Nova music festival site, under heightened security just three weeks before Israel's general election.
These are the first commemorations since a ceasefire began in Gaza, though Israel's military offensive has killed more than 74,200 people there, according to Gaza's health ministry.
