Montreal public health authorities reported a child with measles was contagious at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport on Friday and at Sainte-Justine hospital on Saturday.
Canada has recorded 1,121 measles cases this year as of late September, and in November 2025 officially lost its measles-free status it had held since 1998.
Health authorities are asking anyone who may have been exposed to monitor for symptoms including high fever, cough and rash, and seek preventive treatment if unvaccinated.
