The iconic Strawberry Hills Hotel in Sydney's Surry Hills has sold for around $30 million, ending the Hargreaves family's 32-year ownership of the pub.
The buyers are Danielle Richardson, daughter of billionaire publican Arthur Laundy, and her husband Shane, adding it to their portfolio of four existing pubs.
The Richardsons plan to take over operations before Christmas and build on the pub's established community, keeping it within a family hospitality tradition.
