Apple launched its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, in stores globally on Friday with a price tag of around $2,000 US, or $3,899 in Australia.
Supply was rationed, with Apple capping pre-orders at two per customer and limiting walk-in sales, pushing estimated delivery dates to late January within minutes of pre-orders opening.
The Duo is a key test for new Apple CEO John Ternus and the company's ability to compete with Samsung and Huawei in the premium foldable phone market.
