McCartney has developed Brewed Protein, a fermented cashmere and wool alternative made with Japanese biotech firm Spiber, used in her collections for a year.
Jennifer Lopez and Juliette Binoche were front row, and McCartney said she polices her entire supply chain herself but should not have to do it alone.
