Apple has revealed its first-ever smart home display, the HomeView, a seven-inch screen with face recognition, FaceTime and smart home controls, plus a new HomePod mini 2.
Apple fans are going wild over a surprise product reveal, despite many dubbing it a “giant Apple Watch” or an “iPad on a stick”.
Apple announced its first smart home display, the HomeView, combining music, FaceTime, smart home controls and face recognition in one hub.
The seven-inch Liquid Retina display sits on a domed speaker with a stainless steel hinge, and is powered by Apple Intelligence for personalised Siri responses.
Apple is also releasing the HomePod mini 2 with 360-degree sound and a new Sound Glow feature that pulses light in sync with album artwork.
The HomeView recognises individual faces to personalise each user's experience, and the HomePod mini 2 can deliver four-speaker surround sound when paired with Apple TV 4K fourth generation.
