A cyberattack on Quest Apartment Hotels exposed personal data belonging to nearly two million customers, including sensitive financial and identity information.
Almost 47,000 credit card numbers including CVV codes were taken, along with over 104,000 passport or licence numbers and 297,000 credit card numbers without CVV.
Quest is contacting affected customers directly, and experts say the breach raises fresh questions about how long companies should be holding onto customer data.
If you have stayed at a Quest hotel, watch for suspicious emails, texts or calls asking for personal or financial details, and consider cancelling any affected cards.
