Singapore's Consumers Association tested six mixed caffeinated drinks and found all of them exceeded the recommended daily caffeine limit for teenagers.
The strongest combo, mixing espresso with Monster and Red Bull, contained 282.1mg of caffeine, nearly three times the 100mg daily limit for adolescents.
Parents and teens are urged to check product labels, track total caffeine across the day, and avoid mixing multiple caffeinated drinks in one serving.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends teens aged 12 to 18 consume no more than 100mg of caffeine daily, and even one mixed energy drink tested exceeded that limit.
