‘Miracle’: Shocking moment teen sits up from her coffin during funeral eight hours after being declared dead
A 15-year-old Guatemalan girl declared dead by her father sat up in her coffin during her own funeral, and is now recovering at home.
Mourners quickly transformed their grief to joy as the 15-year-old girl sat up from her coffin, hours after she was declared dead.
Yuleidy Ixcotoyac, 15, was declared dead by her father after she lost consciousness in his car in Guatemala, and a coffin was bought without a doctor examining her.
Eight hours later, during her funeral, her mother felt movement in the coffin and the girl sat upright, opened her eyes, and was given water by stunned mourners.
The teen is recovering at home, Guatemalan health authorities have not commented, and footage of the moment has gone viral around the world.
