Madagascar mpox cases top 3,000 since outbreak in December 2025
Madagascar has recorded over 3,000 mpox cases since December, with 20 deaths, and has received 30,000 vaccine doses from UNICEF to help contain the outbreak.
ANTANANARIVO, July 23 (Xinhua) -- The number of confirmed mpox cases in Madagascar has reached 3,022 since the outbreak began in December 2025, according to the latest report released on Thursday by the Malagasy Ministry of Public Health.
