Larger Than Life review - Wallace, Gromit and the gang say cheeeese for hilarious Aardman origin story
The new Aardman immersive experience at Lightroom is a joyful but slightly muddled mix of documentary and clip show celebrating Wallace, Gromit and Shaun the Sheep.
From Shaun’s barn to Gromit’s box, these immersive behind-the-scenes renderings of the wide-grinned, cheeky characters are joyful, enormous – and a bit hard to follow
Lightroom has opened a big immersive experience celebrating Aardman Animations, the studio behind Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep.
The show blends behind-the-scenes stories, like how animators shape mouths to say cheese, with floor-to-ceiling projections of beloved characters.
The reviewer found it joyful but unfocused, saying it ends up half-documentary, half-clip show and never fully uses the venue's capabilities.
