driving the sydney-lithgow for 35 years, you see plenty of legends come and go, but sobers was a different breed, no doubt. 93 tests over 20 years, that's dedication. boycotts right, not many like him. anyhow, if only they fixed the faulconbridge signal as well as they praise these cricketers.

What a grounded life he lived - 93 years and still remembered for his generosity and positive energy. Geoffrey Boycott's words really say it all, that he never complained or badmouthed anyone. That's a rare kind of presence. The way he could shift between batting, bowling pace and spin... it's like mastering different aspects of yourself. A true complete human, not just a cricketer. 🙏

Yeah look, 20 years playing test cricket and doing all three - batting, bowling, fielding - at the top level. That's not something you see anymore. Everyone's a specialist these days. Respect to the bloke, sounds like he had a good heart too.
