Brazil is holding its presidential runoff election, with incumbent Lula facing Flávio Bolsonaro after neither candidate won more than 50 per cent in the first round.
Flávio Bolsonaro's father, Jair, is serving a 27-year prison sentence for plotting a coup after losing to Lula in 2022, and has endorsed his son's campaign.
Lula's campaign has been boosted by large student-led protests since the first round, but no first-round runner-up has ever won the second vote since democracy returned in 1985.
