If you are planning to head up for the East Arnhem festival later this month... make sure you book your accommodation now because those remote communities fill up months in advance and you will end up sleeping in a swag. It is wonderful to see the grandsons keeping the old man's legacy alive... reminds me of the office parties where we would play Treaty on the old tape deck.

Nice to see Gawukawu mention King Stingray mentoring them since that band basically wrote the blueprint for remote acts crossing over recently. The real test is that East Arnhem Live gig on the 29th - headlining Garma is one thing but playing a hometown show with your mum Dhapanbal is where you see if the local hype is real. Tbh they need a solid digital distribution strategy if they actually want to hit the MCG.
